The project faced substantial additional costs due to various client instructions and unforeseen extraordinary circumstances, such as a pandemic and economic sanctions, impacting the contractor's performance.

Dealing with a complex technical element comprising 15 claims, Petrocontracts meticulously evaluated the situation, resulting in a comprehensive 152-page final report with extensive supporting substantiations.

The claims advisory strategy was executed in two distinct stages.

Stage 2: Claims Preparation / Enhancement / Defence

Building on the insights from stage one, in stage two, Petrocontracts prepared detailed claim reports, enhancing each claim event with techno-commercial justifications of cause and cost parameters in collaboration with the contractor's PMT team. The company also provided robust defence arguments, both technically and contractually, backed by substantial evidence, with the sole aim of securing the rightful entitlement for the Contractor.

• Advising on general contractual and claims matters.
• Conducting due diligence reviews of the submitted claims including assessment of the overall entitlement of the claims.

• To identity, in consultation with the contractors PMT, the events of projects delays and assessment of delays analysis and preparation of EOT using TIA technique and estimating EOT and prolongation cost.
• Preparation of a structured & substantiated claim report on each Claim event.
• Additionally, Petrocontracts provided negotiation support, assessed delays, and defended claims by drafting responses to the client.
